Pool Rules and Regulations

POOL RULES & REGULATIONS

The normal pool season is Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day.

The pool is available to all members and their immediate families at no charge. Members must sign themselves and their guest in at the gate when arriving. There is a $5.00 guest fee charge for out- of- town guests and a $7.00 guest fee charge for in-town guests (limited to four visits per season).

The Pool Manager and lifeguards are in complete charge of the pool. They have the authority and obligation to see that all pool regulations, as established and approved by the Board of Directors, are adhered to in order that the safety of all members is assured.

Horseplay will not be tolerated. Violators will be restricted from the use of the pool.

Personal Coolers or food and beverage are prohibited to be brought to the pool.

BABY POOL

  1. No child over four is allowed in this pool.
  2. Children in this pool are the sole responsibility of their parents.
  3. Babies in diapers are allowed with water proof pants.

Due to the safety of our members and staff, we will not be open for service when the lifeguards are not on duty.

POOL RULES

  • All members must sign at the gate.
  • Each family is allowed one nannie or babysitter to accompany the family or children at the pool. Please contact Sheila Kehaya at (252) 291-3815 to place the nannie or babysitter as an extension on the account, $50 per season.
  • Additional nannies or babysitters can pay an in-town guest fee.
  • A grandchild must be under 18 years of age and must be accompanied by the grandparent or account holder while at the pool.
  • Adult children of member’s must pay a guest fee, according to their home location.
  • Children under 9 must be chaperoned.
  • No glass or gum allowed in the pool area.
  • Proper swim attire required. No street clothes, cutoffs, denim shorts or thong bathing suits are permitted in the pool area.
  • No use of pool after hours.
  • Baby pool is for children under 4, accompanied by an adult or parent.
  • Balls and flotation devices at the discretion of the Pool Manager.
  • No running or pushing on the pool deck.
  • Active cold, skin infection or communicable disease will be excluded from the pool.
  • No standing or playing near lifeguard stands.
  • Advise lifeguard in advance of physical problems.
  • Pool Area cleared during electrical storms and will remain closed until re-opened by the lifeguard. The lifeguard in charge will also be responsible for determining when the pool will be opened in bad-cold, rainy, damp weather.
  • Violations of rules will result in disciplinary actions.
  • No hard balls allowed in pool area.
  • No standing or sitting on shoulders.
  • No goggles on the slide.
  • Must go down slide feet first.
  • Only one person on the slide at a time.
  • No flotation devices allowed on the slide unless the parent/guardian is at the bottom of the slide to catch the child.
  • No parents in the plunge area.
  • Child needs to pass a swim test to go on the slide.
  • Only Coast Guard approved life vests/floatation devices permitted.
  • At pool break only adults 18 and over are allowed in the pool.
  • No sitting on the steps in the pool during pool break.
  • Children under 12 must pass a swim test to swim in the 9-foot area.
  • Babies in diapers must wear rubber diaper covers.
  • No dogs or pets are allowed in the pool area.
  • Smoking is not allowed at the pool complex. Smokers are encouraged to go to the patio outside of Grover’s Grill.
